Lockdown Llandudno Goat Invasion

Lockdown Llandudno Goat Invasion – The phrase herd immunity has just got re-coined in a coastal town in north Wales, after mountain goats were spotted invading its quiet streets.

It comes just a few days after Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister introduced tighter measures towards social distancing last week in a targetted effort to limit the spread of coronavirus.

Residents of Llandudno spotted herds of goats strolling around all over the weekend, after dozens of these Kashmiri mammals ventured down from the Great Orme headland and roamed the streets of the coastal town.

Videos and pictures have been going viral on social media showing the mountain goats grazing on grass from church grounds, flower beds, and residential properties.

They are popularly known as Great Orme Kashmiri goats, whose ancestors have lineage from northern India, according to the town’s official website.
