Baby Elephant Bumps into Melania Trump in Kenya | Melania Trump Africa Tour 2018
First Lady Melania Trump was friskily jolted by a baby elephant during her visit to the National Park in Kenya earlier this week.
First Lady Melania Trump was almost knocked off her feet by a baby elephant on Friday. The incident occurred while she was on a safari in Nairobi National Park in Kenya.
Melania brushed aside the incident and laughed it off and did not appear to be injured.
The first lady is visiting a few countries in Africa as part of her “Be Best” initiative.
Melania Trump has until now covered Ghana, Malawi, and Kenya. She is also scheduled to visit Egypt.
As she was visiting and feeding baby elephants, this is when one of them charged at her. The elephant appeared to come at her in a fun filled way, however, and after briefly losing her balance, Trump laughed off the brief episode. She did not seem to be hurt.
The real question that no one is asking is that how was the first lady allowed so close to the animals? Normally National Parks don’t even allow the visitors to get off their designated vehicles. In this case Melania Trump and her crew we allowed so close and even allowed to feed them. Though the incident was laughed off but it could have gone the other way! And wonder what would have been the response from the White House if the latter occurred?
Baby Elephant Bumps into Melania Trump in Kenya
The first lady’s bump-in with the junior elephant was captured on video.
She is on her first prolonged solo tour abroad as first lady.
The first lady started her journey in Ghana and then visited Malawi before landing in Kenya. The trip is slice of her “Be Best” campaign, which emphases on refining the lives of children.
Earlier in the week Trump also met with Kenyan first lady Margaret Kenyatta over tea and visited orphans, dancing with them as they showed her into their orphanage called The Nest.
The first lady’s final stop on her African expedition will be Egypt. Hopefully the episode “Baby Elephant Bumps into Melania Trump in Kenya” will be a faded memory by the time she is back in Washington.
