Ashish Pandey was seen waving a gun outside a five-star hotel in South Delhi on October 14.
A case has been recorded in connection with the episode under the Arms Act.
Ashish Pandey hails from a family proud of serving in Indian politics right from independence.
Ashish Pandey’s father Rakesh Pandey entered active politics in 1987 as President, District Youth Congress Committee in Ludhiana, Punjab. He followed the eminent footsteps of his revered father, Joginder Pall Pandey, who was a Freedom Fighter and active in Indian politics since the 1950s, and held numerous Ministerial spots in the Indian government, until his assassination by terrorists in 1987. 5 time incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Punjab from Ludhiana North and Vice President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Rakesh Pandey is a well respected statesman.
It is a pity that Ashish Pandey, a man with such elite background resorted an act that reeks of goondaism.
