Camera Footage Tornado Rips Through Arkansas City – A tornado ripped through Arkansas, totally destroying Jonesboro. Six people have been badly injured and a large trail of flattened homes and buildings can be seen in the footage.
CNN’s affiliate KARK got an update of the injury report from Mayor Harold Perrin. At a time when the world is fighting against the COVID-19 outbreak, a tornado touched down on Saturday in Arkansas city leaving causing largescale destruction.
Search and rescue crews are scanning every inch of the area to look for anyone in need of assistance, Jonesboro Police Chief Rick Elliott said.
Images posted online depicted broken walls, flattened commercial buildings and rubble scattered across parking lots.
One picture showed a totally disfigured vehicle in a mall parking lot.
At the domestic airport, at least one airplane was overturned, and hangars were destroyed.

Storms are forecast to advance from Iowa & Missouri, across Illinois & Indiana, the western parts of Kentucky & Tennessee, southeastern Arkansas & the northwestern parts of Mississippi tonight.

The mayor ordered curfew for the city which is approx. 130 miles northeast of Little Rock starting 7:00 p.m.
Residents have been urged by the police chief to stay home while debris is cleared out of roadways and other common areas.
