Massive Fire in a Boat Dock in Jackson County – As per official sources about 35 boats docked at the Jackson County Park in Alabama were destroyed in an overnight fire. At least eight people are reported dead and seven are missing as a result of this freak fire.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in a briefing informed that this doesn’t mean they’re in the water and it doesn’t mean they’re dead. They are making attempts to find them and are combing the wider radius around the docks as well.

Most of the boats which are destoryed were houseboats, the Scottsboro Fire Department said.
These were 20 to 40 feet long house boats, and some were primary residences.
Some boats drowned at the dock and some drifted away before sinking.
Seven people were rescued at the scene and were rushed to the hospital for burns and potential hypothermia and all are in stable condition.
