Chinita Princess Escapes Assassination Attempt – Actress cum singer Kim Chiu popularly known as Chinita Princess is safe after the shootout at her vehicle. All the occupants of the van were unhurt after 2 gunmen onboard a motorcycle fired at her van in Quezon City on Wednesday (4th March) morning, as narrated by her driver who is the key eye witness.
Kim Chiu’s assist said the actress was sleeping at the back of the van when the shots were fired. She was jolted out of her sleep and asked her assist what happened. Assist said,”nabaril tayo ate!”. Chiu asked her,”bakit?”. pic.twitter.com/imRjxmF18B

Kim Chiu was heading for a recording session of her television series “Love Thy Woman” when the shots were fired at her van. At least 6 rounds were fired at the corner of Katipunan and CP Garcia Avenues in Diliman around 6 a.m., as per her driver Wilfredo Taperla.
Apparently they did not immediately notice that there were gunshots from behind, as things happened so fast and it turned out that they were the ones being shot at.
Chiu took to instagram to assure her fans that her personal assistant and Taperla were safe. Her post read “Papa Jesus protected us”.

The actress said she had absolutely no clue on the possible motive behind the attack.
One bullet penetrated the van but missed Chiu as she was lying down.
The gunmen escaped by fleeing towards Commonwealth Avenue, said Chiu’s driver.
The actress, though shaken up, proceeded to the recording studio after the incident, Taperla added.
